I love EMU! :)

EMU's mantra: Always exceed expectation, always moving the collection forward like the Emu itself. It's a bird that cannot physically step backwards. EMU is working on being more high end, they have created an apparel line. They not only have the typical Ugg boot they also have a wedge heel boot, an ankle bootie or the tall bootie, some with buckles or buttons or "desert style". Some of the styles are even unisex and range from baby EMU sizes all the way to mens.

"Ugg Australia" doesn't even exist in Australia, it's an american company. It's just called Ugg australia because the "Ugg" boot story is originated from Australia. It's told that two surfer dudes were on the coast in Yuulong surfing along and they were tired of having cold feet afterwards, so they went to their dad's tannery "Jackson Tannery"  and picked up some left over sheeps skin and tied their feet with rope. When they went to surf the next day with their boots, their friends laughed at them and said "Ey mates, those are some ugly boots". hehe. Ugg is the style of boot that was branded on the ugly boots from australia. Any company can have an Ugg boot. 

Every boot, no matter what factory it was built in is made of one sheep skin. So your feet are wrapped up and protected from the cold from the same fur, in the same colour. There is a platinum collection for those who truly wish to have their boots specially made, packaged and shipped from Australia. It has a little metal tag instead of the fabric and it comes in a special made in Australia box.

There are 5 key benefits that trump competitors. All sheep skins are grade A from Australia, they are water resistant, fibreglass heel support, removable insole to replaces them or wash it, ideated sole to mould to your foot and TPR rubber plate on the bottom to protect from salt wear.

The apparel is only 2 years old in canada. They are fitted and light weight, they look amazing. The clothing is made of Merino wool. Thinner than alpaca, but thicker that cashmere. So you're super warm but it's still so soft.

It was such a cool afternoon. Katherine was the awesome lady woman who showed me around. Everyone needs to get themselves some EMU boots. I'm pretty excited for the winter now... my excitement is very far away... it's too nice outside to actually be excited for winter...
